This is an easy, short trek that starts near Pokhara and offers good mountains views. It gained its name because Prince Charles and an entourage of 90 guests trekked here. The route is not a frequented one with few other trekkers. It is however a lovely walk and not strenuous with some lovely vistas of the Annapurna range.
The trek commences from Pokhara, the valley of lakes offering panoramic views of the Annapurna massif as also of the Manaslu Himal. This route was first trekked by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1980 and hence is known as the ‘Royal Trek’. This is the best trek for those who want to experience village life and striking mountain views in a relatively short period of time.
